Who is watching?

This conference, chaired by former MP and leading climate thinker Mary Creagh, will hear from regulators, businesses, active investors, climate scientists, and government officials on why change is necessary to build resilience. It will look at the current and future nature of regulation, explore how businesses will need to rise to the challenge and the regulatory changes now in the pipeline.

The new Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting scheme offers investors a way of measuring company health which goes beyond the balance sheet. With the Financial Conduct Authority consulting on whether all premium listed companies should make climate-related, environmental and social disclosures compulsory on a “comply or explain” basis, this would allow investors to better allocate capital to manage risk and aid the transition to a low carbon economy.

When the pandemic is over, there will be no return to business as usual.
